Job Description
Summary of Position:
This role supports the Permian Operations Support Services team. This role will provide cost engineering services and support foremen and stakeholders with daily tasks. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, data management, data analytics, workflow optimization, process/tool refinement, scheduling, project lookbacks, weekly and quarterly metric reporting, and data mining. These responsibilities will include a balance of analytical projects and procedural tasks.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- This position will support the maintenance, chemical, and compression teams with financial tracking and workflow tools.
- Support foremen and other internal stakeholders with custom reporting and special project requirements.
- Build and maintain department databases and processes for analysis.
- Format data analytics to include in presentations.
- Assist with financial budgeting and forecasting.
- Responsible for providing project cost engineering services, including estimate reviews and cost tracking.
- Assist in explaining variances in the departmental budget.
- Ranking contractors/vendors, actuals vs budget, schedule performance, etc.
- Work with internal stakeholders to prepare the financial outlook assumptions, budget, and accrual updates at the desired company cadence (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
- Conduct project post-appraisals to collect actual data versus estimates to adjust estimated assumptions and processes.
- Develop improved processes and tools to support department responsibilities.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and other facilities engineering tools (SiteView, PowerBi, Spotfire, Grafana).
- Strong time management and prioritization to efficiently manage tasks, prioritize activities, and allocate time effectively to ensure smooth facilities engineering and construction execution.
- Work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, relay technical information, and report findings or issues.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, operators, and other analysts.
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in computer science, math, accounting, engineering technology, or similar, or an equivalent combination of experience working as an Analyst/Technician/Technologist.
- Education may be considered in lieu of experience and vice versa.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analysis, project management or related field.
- Proficiency in Spotfire/PowerBi software.
- Proficiency with SiteView or similar reporting software.
Travel Requirements:
- Work is performed at a CIVI location Mon-Fri with an option to work remotely on Fridays.
- Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9-hour workdays M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
- Travel required to Civitas field locations.
