About KIPP TEAM & Family KIPP TEAM & Family is our network office that includes support teams - such as Leadership Development, Recruitment, Advocacy, Facilities, Finance, HR and more - dedicated to empowering our schools and ensuring the success of KIPP students throughout New Jersey and Miami. Our schools are part of the nationally recognized “Knowledge Is Power Program” network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools dedicated to preparing students for success in college and in life. The first KIPP New Jersey school opened in Newark in 2002 and since then our school network has expanded to educate 8,135 students in grades K-12. By 2025, KIPP New Jersey will provide a world-class education to over 10,300 students across fifteen schools in Newark and five in Camden. In 2018, we grew our KIPP community in response to a need for high-quality school options for students in Greater Miami’s Urban Core communities. That led to the creation of KIPP Miami, which currently educates more than 1,000 students in four schools, with plans to reach 5,800 students by 2025. Here's what you need to know As the Manager of Talent Sourcing and Strategy, you will be at the forefront of shaping how KIPP Team & Family Schools attracts top-tier talent to fuel our growth and impact. Reporting to the Managing Director of Talent Acquisition, you will lead the development, implementation, and refinement of talent acquisition strategies, tools, and practices. In collaboration with recruitment leaders, marketing partners, and external vendors, you’ll strengthen our employer brand, optimize our pipeline programs, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with the K-12 talent recruitment landscape, data-savvy, and adept at managing multiple projects. You have a proven ability to drive results, build scalable systems, and foster relationships that elevate talent outcomes. This is a hybrid role with a strong preference for candidates located within commuting distance from one of our three cities: Newark, NJ; Camden, NJ; Miami, FL Here's what you'll be doing: Talent Acquisition Strategy & Operations Management (60%) Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies, pipeline development practices, and recruiter training programs. Design an annual recruitment marketing plan, including social media strategy and outreach campaigns, leveraging data and market trends to guide investment decisions. Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen leadership pipelines and cross-departmental initiatives. Build scalable systems that align with KIPP’s growth and talent priorities. Oversee external partnerships to ensure sustainable talent pipelines and optimize recruitment processes. Talent Programs and Tools (20%) Manage and enhance the employee referral program to attract high-quality candidates. Use data to inform event strategies and engagement protocols to maximize ROI. Develop tools and systems to streamline staffing of immediate openings with improved efficiency and quality. Lead external communication strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement with passive candidates. Act as the team’s talent systems administrator, managing ATS, CRM, and other tools. Manage external search partners and part-time TA contract workers Leadership Selection & Pipeline Development (20%) Support leadership pipeline programs that drive organizational growth and student success. Manage the selection process for a key set of roles (operations, academics, PIR, deans, D/MD+ roles, etc.), expected at ~10 roles annually, calendared during focused seasons and needs Qualifications
Must Haves: Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of Talent Recruitment experience Strong knowledge of modern recruitment technologies including ATS and CRM (we use SmartRecruiter), sourcing tools, scheduling tools, and communications platforms. Proven systems builder and developer of process and protocols, ability to socialize tools for increased efficiency and impact of department Ability to prioritize long term solutions over one-off problem solving needs Leads with a focus on measurable results and long-term vision Naturally builds relationships and is particularly adept at creating buy-in from a diverse range of stakeholder and at developing and cultivating partnerships and networks at multiple levels Technical and operational expert who can provide strategic partnership and mentorship across all levels of the team Seamless ability to toggle between the small details and the bigger picture Willingness to advocate for change at the network level as needed A skillful indirect influencer who can drive outcomes through collaboration with others Nice-to-Haves: Experience in managing others and/or driving results through others Experience in digital marketing campaign creation and campaign analysis Recruitment operations experience K-12 teaching experience, or work within a Charter Management Organization Familiarity with data analysis tools Prior experience establishing external partnerships Additional Information
