Title: eCommerce Business Analyst- Data Analyst (Contract) - Job4152 Location: Houston TX (onsite/remote hybrid) Job Description: This business/data analyst will support our Digital Customer Experience, Self-Service, and eCommerce platforms through collecting and analyzing data to make informed growth and adoption decisions. The selected candidate will work with cross-functional teams translating the decisions into product features and data nurturing mechanisms and will perform under the supervision of Online Analytics leads and product owners. The key partners include eCommerce Managers, Data teams, Business Intelligence Report developers. They will measure product success and improvements by means of analytics development and work enablement. Responsibilities: Recommend enhancements to the product features through continuous data analysis and feedback. Function as a data expert for all online channels. Gather business requirements, analyze then translate to the technical requirements. Perform data analysis on different data sources, consolidate multiple data sets and analyze the data accurately and efficiently Organize sessions to gather business context from Product Owners, analyze, document findings Act as liaison between stakeholders and technical team to improve customer experience Gather data from Relational Databases, NoSQL Databases and Data Streams Uses a results-oriented mindset to ensure clear and appropriate KPIs and metrics are used to make decisions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with estimated breakdown of duties as follows: 20% analysis using SQL, BI Reports and ad-hoc analysis within Snowflake, Excel, and other applications. 20% requirements gathering and documentation. 20% data analysis using Online Analytics applications. 20% pull together clear and concise presentations using mockups, data, and written context. 20% manage and develop relationships with cross-functional partners to drive organizational value and digital growth. Qualifications: Have a strong eye to associate data through context and deep dive to gather meaningful insights. Able to work in an Agile format using JIRA and Confluence to support workflow. Experience in various reporting tool preferably Power BI Knowhow in using online analytics applications preferably Adobe Analytics Ability to understand, define, and collaborate with cross-functional partners on segmentation opportunities and customer data needs to support the growth of our online channel. Able to work in a complex organizational structure with a broad scope of cross-functional partners and delivery teams Have strong understanding of data and analytics to support decision making and impact analyses. Strong demonstrated experience with Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint and can pull together clear, concise, and convincing presentations using mockups, data, and written context. Working knowledge of statistics and statistical methods. Document enterprise data sources, report/query logic and communicate findings Demonstrated experience in writing SQL queries to perform complex data analysis Robust understanding Data Warehouse concepts Solid understanding of unstructured data Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field and five or more years of business and business program management experience or nine years of relevant eCommerce, Digital, or Personalization experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field and ten or more years of eCommerce, Digital, or Personalization experience. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: Customer know-how: Strong understanding of the company's diverse customer segments, or an ability to derive a fact-based perspective using primary and secondary research to gather insights into customers' needs, wants and pain points. Operations / business / financial knowledge: Strong understanding of the company's operations and service capabilities, or an ability to become a quick study, that translates this knowledge into practical and impactful features that add value to our customers without contributing to inefficiency for the business. Solid financial acumen, including understanding of key financial statements and concepts such as P&L and ROI. Impact-orientation: Strong focus on thoughtful maximization of value creation and capture, with a nose of "following the money" but recognizing that to capture value we must also deliver value to our customers. Successful candidate will have a track record of meaningful and measurable customer and financial success. 'Can do' & 'imagine if' mindset: A proactive, can-do mindset that enables independent definition and pursuit of opportunity, combined with a creative 'what if' persona that pushes the candidate to think out-of-the-box and venture into unproven territory. The successful candidate will have a track record of proactively speaking up and constructive dissent, where a contrarian opinion is held. Influencing: Ability to build rapport, authentic and meaningful relationships, and comfortably influencing all levels of the organization, from the SLT to Corporate VPs and AVPs, to the front line (key to "selling" ideas and initiatives). Dispute resolution: Ability to combine all qualities above to resolve most day-to-day disputes independently and without more senior executive support. Value-added innovation track record: Established track record of identifying, developing and implementing novel solutions with clear impact. This includes taking calculated risks and being prone to experimenting with new concepts. Fact and data-driven approach: Track record of relying on facts and data to drive action, as opposed to over-relying on instinct, gut feel, experience or opinion. The successful candidate will have a track record of frequently using data, absent of sampling bias, to overcome confirmation bias thereby ensuring the right decision is ultimately made even where counterintuitive. Credibility: The successful candidate will be credible, or have potential to create credibility quickly, with the current Corporate and Area management teams, and therefore deemed capable of driving impact.
