We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the logistics industry, based in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. As a Financial Analyst, you will be expected to manage government contracts, carry out cost accounting, handle month-end closing processes, perform reconciliations, and assess returns on investments. You will be operating during standard business hours from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule following the completion of training.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee government contracts to ensure compliance and financial viability
• Execute cost accounting tasks to monitor and control expenses
• Handle month-end close processes to maintain timely and accurate financial records
• Perform reconciliation duties to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data
• Evaluate investment returns to aid in financial decision-making
• Utilize Deltek software for efficient financial management and reporting
• Employ various accounting software systems to streamline financial operations
• Use CRM and Crystal Reports for data management and reporting
• Apply data mining techniques to extract valuable information for business decisions
• Conduct auditing tasks to ensure adherence to financial laws and regulations
• Participate in budgeting processes to allocate resources effectively
• Implement capital management strategies to optimize the use of financial resources.• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Financial Analyst role within the logistics industry
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable
• Skilled in the use of CRM systems
• Familiarity with Crystal Reports is a plus
• Knowledge of Data Mining Techniques is essential
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions efficiently
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting is necessary
• Experience with Auditing processes
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is required
• Knowledge of Capital Management is a must
• Experience with Deltek software
• Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint is highly desirable
