Job Description
Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, is currently looking for a Financial Analyst for a temporary to hire opportunity in East El Paso.
Position Summary:
This analyst position reports to the Financial Business Analyst Lead. The main responsibilities of the position are to synthesize and analyze data to inform, recommend and guide business decisions. With special focus on price point assessment relative to current market information and assist in implementing, evaluating and coordinating pricing strategies to establish uniformity for sales team. The impact of effective pricing and margin management is in the tens of millions of $$ dollars. In the analysis of pricing and margin management this position will interface with the sales and marketing, import procurement, manufacturing and distribution teams. Job activities require problem solving using the individual's discretion and judgment to determine best practice solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Sales & Marketing through price recommendation and quotation administration activities and maintenance of day-to-day pricing levels.
Formulate, & analyze the tracking of market feedback from our Sales team and customer base in order to ensure competitive pricing.
Formulate, & analyze the tracking of customer profitability to ensure required margin & profitability returns to the Company, and make recommendations on how to improve.
Recommend, implement & maintain technological tools including Proposal Generator pricing tools utilized by Sales & Marketing Teams within establish guidelines, plus other tools for use in evaluating price/product mix objectives.
Support Trade Spending Analyst, as needed, in trade spending programs analyses, compliance and audits.
Participate in special projects related to product development.
Will be called upon to synthesize and analyze data to inform and guide business decisions, measure and manage business performance, predict trends and possibilities, and provide solutions to add value aligning Finance activities to best support the business.
Assist in monthly closing activities and Finance & Accounting team complete its responsibilities.
Functions include preparation and evaluation of operating plans, forecasts, and other financial operating reports.
Provide information to other departments related to performance against revenue.
Education and/or Experience:
- 4 Year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3-4 years experience as a Financial Analyst
- Demonstrated analytical, collaborative, consultative and decision making abilities
- Demonstrated personal initiative, responsibility and time prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently, to manage changing priorities, to multi-task on a daily basis, works in a matrix management structure, and interface with various levels of management. Moved to working skills.
