Position Summary:

Landsea Homes is seeking an intelligent and ambitious individual interested in an exciting and challenging position as a Financial Analyst. This position will report directly to the VP of Land Acquisition and will assist in the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of accounting records and financial data for home-building and land development.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and analyze annual and quarterly budgets.
  • Produce monthly project proformas, analyze budget variances, and craft insightful financial models.
  • Analyze accounting reports, explain variances, and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Aid in the assembly of land/draw packages, while upholding financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Review and prepare job cost reports, and assist with other projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of accounting, financial analysis, or job costing experience (internship experience will be considered); experience in residential, home-building, construction, or real estate accounting is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel with advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable communicating cross-functionally with internal and external business partners.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary position. May be required to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard. This position requires public contact, as such, appropriate business apparel and professional appearance is expected.
