Job Title: Accountant Analyst

Job Summary: This position will support the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, AL assisting DoD Accounting. The qualified candidate will be capable of assisting in the execution of the following tasks: • Document, edit, and maintain end-to-end financial management process narratives • Perform internal controls testing of controls documented in the process narratives • Populate and maintain internal controls documentation repositories with results and supporting evidence • Develop and track Corrective Action Plans related to internal controls testing • Assist Government accountants with other accounting tasks as needed • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in regard to day-to-day execution and beyond daily duties

Requirements Qualifications/Skills: • BS/BA in Accounting, business or related field • Established knowledge of Excel and MS Office suite • Understanding of general federal government Accounting processes • Have a working knowledge of Accounting and IT audit methodologies, concepts, tools, and objectives • Have a working knowledge of conducting risk assessment and internal controls testing • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Ability to work in a Team environment in-office and remotely • Applicants selected must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance upon hire date; an active secret will be a plus, but not required.

Desired Qualifications/Skills: • Ability to multi-task; effectively manage time, and work under firm and quick turn-around deadlines • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Strong planning, problem solving, data collection, and analytical skills
