Job Description
Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Policy Analyst to support the Ending of the HIV Epidemic (EHE) project in the Los Angeles County area. Provides legislative research, policy analysis, policy impact evaluation, written reports, legislative updates, and support for the Los Angeles County, Department of Public Health, Division of HIV and STD Programs (DHSP). Under the direct supervision of the Director, DHSP, the Policy Analyst plays a key role in executing public health policy strategy and contributing to the overall success of the HIV/STD programs and services.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 10/31/25
Pay Rate-
$7,624 per month

Shifts: Hybrid with onsite location at 600 S Commonwealth Ave 10th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90005 (approx 3 days in office per week)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, public policy, social services, health administration or similar disciplines.AND
  • Four years of experience in the analysis of public health or public health programs, two years of which must have been at the level of a Policy Analyst. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, public policy, social services, health administration or similar discipline. May be substituted for one year of the required experience.
Policy analysis work experience
  • Experience working with community advocacy groups and local, state, and federal policy partners.
  • Experience working with HIV/AIDS and/or sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) public health policies and programs
  • Additional experience beyond these requirements.
