Job Description
SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst will assist the Vice President Finance in the preparation of internal and external GAAP-based financial reporting and analysis for multiple lines of business and legal entities. Assist with the accounting requirements of several different corporate entities in the general ledger accounting system. Work closely with the VP Finance and team members in other functional areas of accounting and finance. THIS ROLE IS ON-SITE FULL-TIME.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES (include but are not limited to the following):
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and external reporting standards as well as internal
- Assist business unit managers with analysis of financial data including trend analysis, forecasts, and monitoring of key financial
- Create ProForma financial analysis in response to senior management inquiries
- Create and support financial key performance indicators
- Create and support financial reporting dashboards for senior management
- Coordinate with financial accounting team on implementing new client contracts
- Assist with budget and forecast preparation and analysis of variance from
- May be required to explain complex financial subjects to non-finance staff
- Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
- Post journal entries into the general ledger accounting software package.
- Assist with the preparation of other reports provided to management.
- Assist with year-end audits.
- Assist with preparation of month-end financial statements, cash flow statements, budgets.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years well-rounded financial analysis experience, preferably a public accounting background.
- Auditing and tax work experience
- Advanced MS Excel skills and have worked with large amounts of data (Vlookup, Pivot table, etc.).
- Ability to understand the basics of business finance, terms, and concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Management Reporter is preferred.
