Job Summary
As North America Financial Analyst, you will ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, forecasting and preparation of reports for the regional and group management teams. This role has frequent interaction and must build relationships within the various North American sites. This position will be a key member of the finance team and will complement the team’s accounting resources ensuring integrity of the P&L and Balance Sheet.

This role has frequent interaction and must build relationships within the various North American sites. This position will be a key member of the finance team and will complement the team’s accounting resources ensuring integrity of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly accounting close so that financial results of the region are accurately completed on a timely basis, including recording of accruals and overhead costs
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial management reports, including analysis of key metrics and variances
- Support income and property tax accounting functions such as posting monthly accruals and journal entries
- Review balance sheet monthly and review/prepare account reconciliations to provide assurance on data integrity
- Support preparation of forecasts and budgets including analysis and explanation of significant changes from previous forecasts
- Provide oversight and support to the regional business delegation of authority and internal control environment by reviewing approvals on payment requests, price changes, inventory write offs, fixed asset dispositions and other transactions
- Assist in preparation of actual and estimate cash flow statements
- Assisting with internal and external audit requests
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as required
Key Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Preference given to candidates with financial experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Experience with an accounting software, SAP preferred
- Strong computer knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint programs
- Strong organizational and time management skills – a good portion of the work in this role is deadline driven
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and with others
- Ability to prioritize work
- Good communication skills able to discuss and explain financial transactions and processes, in a clear and concise way, to individuals across the organization
