What To Expect
- Financial Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in developing accurate financial forecasts and budgets, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Performance Reporting: Analyze financial performance by preparing reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight trends for senior management.
- Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets, providing actionable insights to help improve financial performance.
- Scenario Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the potential impact of different business scenarios, helping leadership make informed decisions.
- Strategic Planning Support: Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans by providing financial models and analyses that support corporate objectives.
- Ad Hoc Analyses: Perform detailed financial analyses on special projects, such as growth opportunities, capital investments, or cost-reduction initiatives.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales, marketing) to ensure financial accuracy and support key business decisions.
What You Need
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas). Experience with financial software/tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, SAP) a plus.
- Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in preparing and analyzing financial data, with a keen eye for identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess financial issues and propose solutions.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with various departments to drive financial initiatives.
- Time Management & Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing effectively to meet business needs.
