Job Title: BMS Data Specialist Department: BMS Administration

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer, BMS FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Job Summary:

The BMS Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide insights and recommendations to improve business operations. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions to enhance the quality of patient care. Work will directly impact the success of our organization and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare services to our patients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support business operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all systems and platforms
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Education and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in the healthcare industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Meditech
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of HIPAA rules
  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office-especially excel and/or other spreadsheets
  • Experience working with CPT coding
