Orbit Analyst Location: Suitland, MD Security Clearance: Secret Clearance Required Position Type: Permanent, Shift Work (24/7 Operations Center) Industry: Space Situational Awareness (SSA) Operations Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Orbit Analyst to join a dynamic operations center dedicated to monitoring and analyzing space traffic. This position is crucial in ensuring the safety and stability of the space operating environment. As an Orbit Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring space traffic products, analyzing computational processes, and addressing operational and technical challenges in real-time. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze space traffic and SSA data to ensure the safe operation of space assets. Collaborate with operations personnel and commercial operators to develop and implement procedures, operational displays, and job aids. Coordinate with Department of Defense (DoD) representatives as needed to support mission operations. Contribute to the development of training materials and activities for onboarding government and commercial teams. Maintain proficiency through annual certification to ensure continued qualification in operational roles. Qualifications: Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is mandatory. Experience: Proficiency in Space Situational Awareness (SSA) data and familiarity with the TraCSS system. Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication abilities. Availability: Willingness to do shift work Why Join Us?
