As a Securities Analyst, you'll be an essential part of our Securities Management team, contributing to the success of our organization. Location: Jackson, MS Role and Responsibilities: The Securities Analyst assists in the management, administration, and reporting of the Company's investment portfolio and may conduct analysis on a wide range of investments ranging from public and private corporate bonds to limited partnership investments. The primary area of emphasis for this posting will be fixed income securities, including corporate bonds, municipal bonds, and mortgage-backed securities. The analyst position may also assist with asset allocation, asset and liability management, and cash flow projection. Your responsibilities will include : Evaluate investment opportunities as assigned with supervision. Conduct in-depth research and provide detailed feedback on opportunities to senior analysts and portfolio management. Create memorandums to document all investment activity. Memos should be free of grammatical error and include a detailed description of the investment opportunity including, but not limited to: description, financial information, investment thesis, relative value analysis, security/fund structure, pricing information, benchmarking data, broker information, fund overview, fund economics, investment risks, and due diligence. Complete all necessary trade documentation procedures accurately with minimal supervision including but not limited to: trade sheets, funding notices, subscription information, subscription detail, and required signatures. Evaluate credit issues and/or trading opportunities as assigned. Make recommendations to portfolio management. Develop a detailed understanding of rating methodologies and assign internal ratings as needed. Pursue additional education to enhance analytical and technical capabilities. Subject to area of focus and/or manager preference, pursue CFA charter, CAIA charter, CIPM designation, or other designations as approved by management.
