Accounts Payable Specialist
Port Washington, NY
Our client is a mid-sized distribution corporation that is in search of someone to take on an Accounts Payable Specialist role. Qualified candidates will have prior accounts payable experience as well as an ability to multi-task well, work with limited oversight and the ability to create reports and communicate findings with all levels of employee and company vendors. This is a great opportunity to join a successful company with good stability. They also offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401k with a match, paid vacation, bonus incentive, etc. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of $75,000 to $85,000, they are on a hybrid schedule, in the office 4 days, working from home 1 day.
Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist job include:
· Handle full cycle accounts payable processing and reporting
· Track and process expense reports
· Process electronic payments
· Use Excel to proactively build month end reports
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting, Finance, Business degrees preferred
· Four or more years of accounting, accounts payable experience required
· Technical skills inclusive of MS Excel; pivot tables, vlookups, sumif, etc.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to work well across multiple departments
