DRIVER
Summary of Position:
As a driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products from a distribution center or warehouse to designated locations. Your role will involve efficiently navigating delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service
Accountabilities:
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Load and unload goods onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securement of items.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption, taking into account traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Execute deliveries according to schedule, delivering goods accurately and promptly to assigned locations.
- Provide courteous and professional service to customers upon delivery, handling inquiries, and concerns in a friendly manner.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery, mileage logs, and any relevant paperwork.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on delivery vehicles, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain open communication with dispatchers and supervisors, providing updates on delivery status and any issues encountered.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including vehicle weight limits, driver hours-of-service regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with the products being delivered, including handling instructions and special requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or a similar role.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling deliveries and paperwork.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work variable hours and weekends as needed.
