POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Provides leadership, training, central administration, and support to school age site directors and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages and directs quality programs and establishes new program activities. Expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans for assigned programs.
Hires school age site directors and staff. Trains, develops, schedules and directs school age site directors. Reviews and evaluates school age site director performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and
achieve
goals.
Responsible for development and implementation of training design including: curriculum, licensing, program quality standards and lesson plans.
Serves as central administrator for school age programs. Maintains proper records/department files.
Acts as the school age licensing and quality rating and improvement (QRIS), and CATCH expert, staying current with regulations and guidelines, training staff, providing oversight for implementation and doing regular site assessments for compliance. Assures compliance with federal, state and local regulations as they relate to program areas, including ADA accommodations where appropriate.
Ensures quality results by monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness and adhering to program standards. Provides data and reports as required for assigned programs.
Develops, manages and controls budgets related to the position. Ensures program operates within budget and that program fees are collected.
Develops and maintains relationships with state child care licensing agency, parent groups and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs. Coordinates communication efforts with parents in assigned programs. Responds to all agency, parent and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
Assists with assigned department meetings.
Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information. Assists with annual fund raising campaign.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
One to two years related experience preferred as a coordinator or supervisor of child care/after school/camp programs.
Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.
Fulfillment of state-specific hiring standards/licensing approval.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit quality volunteers.
Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
