As Senior Manager of Labor Relations, you will provide Labor Relations expertise and support for manufacturing facilities across multiple product categories within Kellanova North America (KNA) Supply Chain. This position is responsible for supporting labor relations, positive employee relations, and high-performing work system activities in multiple manufacturing facilities varying in size from 100 to 1000 employees, working with five different unions. Reporting to the head of the Labor Relations and People COE, this role will help drive a principle-based labor strategy in support of Kellanova's business objectives. This role maintains appropriate engagement and relationships with plant HR and operational leadership teams, corporate support functions, and union representatives.
A Taste of What You'll Be Doing
Directly support all Labor and Positive Employee Relations activities. Support and coach the plant HR and operations teams on day-to-day labor and employee relations issues to drive practical, timely, and value-added solutions. Serve as first or second chair in bargaining. Independently lead contract negotiation preparation and execution in multiple US manufacturing sites. Stay abreast of industry and national trends in labor relations and supply chain management to help drive a competitive cost environment and operational efficiencies within Kellanova North America manufacturing through the Kellanova high-performing work system. Assist in the training and development of the plant Human Resources Representatives, Plant Managers, and Senior Leadership Teams in Labor Relations and positive employee relations. Participate as the labor relations subject matter expert on project teams related to initiatives with labor implications. We're Looking for Someone With
A Bachelor's degree, law degree, or equivalent experience in labor relations. Proven experience in complex labor relations situations. Project management skills and techniques. Learning agility with the ability to identify both strategic and practical solutions. Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables. Ability to see the big picture and execute effectively on the details to drive solutions to persistent problems. Personal fortitude, flexible style, and ability to influence without authority at all levels, ranging from hourly employees to union representatives, plant management, peers in multiple functions, and senior corporate stakeholders. Excellent time management skills. Timely and value-added responsiveness to stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to travel up to 50%. Occasional availability is required during extended work hours and weekends, supporting stakeholders and 24/7 operations in multiple time zones. What's Next
