FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Job Summary:

Fineline Steel Fabrication has immediate openings for FORKLIFT OPERATORS to work at our steel fabrication facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, including raw steel, finished products, and other supplies within the fabrication facility. Your primary objective is to support the production process by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to designated work areas. This is a full-time position, must be able to work overtime as needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, pass a background check and have reliable transportation to get to and from work. Training will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid forklift operator certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in safely operating forklifts, including handling heavy and bulky materials
  • Prior experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Endurance to stand, walk, and operate a forklift for extended periods
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate material handling and prevent errors in inventory
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures to create a secure working environment
  • Effective verbal communication skills to interact with team members and convey information accurately
  • Perform other shop duties and tasks as needed
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check

Work Hours:

Monday-Thursday from 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM. 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime as necessary or until work is completed.

Related Safety Responsibilities:

Must become familiar and compliant with Fineline’s safety program and OSHA regulations. Must maintain fitness level sufficient to handle his/her required work load. Understands, is familiar with, and follows equipment safety requirements. Is always vigilant and aware of his/her own safety as well as the safety of those around him/her.
