Position Summary:This position will serve as the subject matter expert for all water system technologies used to manufacture Monster Energy Beverages including, but not limited to, filtered (carbon/sand), flocculation, chlorination, Reverse Osmosis (RO), Deionized (DI), as well as microbiological inactivation technologies such as Ultraviolet (UV) light and Ozonation. The incumbent will advise and oversee new installations, troubleshoot problematic systems and advise on strategies for process improvement and sustainability.Essential Job Functions:Drives and deploys Monster Energy's Water Qualification Program to ensure regulatory compliance globally. Assesses vulnerabilities related to water, determines business risk, develops mitigation plans accordingly with Commercial Operations to ensure realization.Conducts site evaluations of site water purification systems and advises on process improvements to ensure compliance with Monster Energy and drinking water standards globally.Supports root cause analysis of water-related incidents in all bottling operations and ensures proper corrective and preventative actions are in place. Contributes technical expertise to new product development when remediating sensory failures linked to water quality.Assists and advises the Validation Department with technical solution plans and strategies when troubleshooting cleaning validation failures.Assists and advises Regulatory Affairs (RA) and New Product Development (NPD) on product and compliance matters related to water quality and sustainability.Builds in-house knowledge in water resources and technology. Analyzes data, provides interpretation of data, and provides written reports related to water quality projects and systems.Participates in design reviews to ensure proposed water treatment systems and controls can be built and normally operated to consistently provide quality water.Position Requirements:Experience:10+ years of experience in Food & Beverage organization, pharmaceutical, or other government-regulated industry.Proficient in Microsoft Office, statistical analysis applications (Minitab), or data analytics software applications.Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.Knowledgeable in 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 129 & 165, USP 1231, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) guidelines for water quality/treatment.Education, Certification, Licenses & Registrations:Advanced degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Microbiology, or Chemistry.Skills:Flexible, enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed to a career in Quality Management.High level of personal integrity.Ability to provide both written and verbal communication to global levels within the organization as well as business, flavor, and ingredient partners.Highly organized and able to lead a small team within a fast-paced environment.Result-oriented, creative, and able to multitask.Able to see what is relevant, prioritize, and ask the right questions in the field of global regulatory compliance.Strong project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.Ability to work on own initiative and in a team.Ability to adapt to change.Willing to travel, work evenings & early mornings – as the job requires.Resilient and able to cope with the rigors of a demanding job.Physical Demands:Light level of physical effort required for a variety of physical activities to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing or sitting at a workstation.
