The Senior Assembly Manager for the Obetz site is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of gift production for the site. This leader ensures the team complies with company standards to produce high quality product in a safe and efficient operating manner, and provides direction and leadership for tactical as well as long term strategic activities. This role is accountable for several key business performance indicators (kpi's) including; financial performance, building safety, throughput, hiring, training and development, and has responsibility for product food safety in the assembly operations. The individual will need to build and develop strong business relationships with internal and external partners to help drive short and long term initiatives including capital planning, continuous improvement projects, personnel development, and will identify/implement new processes and system changes to help meet business growth objectives. Responsibilities Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Develop and drive department productivity and throughput standards for multiple assembly jobs Establish and update job costing estimates for multiple gifts and customers Lead work force consisting of multiple shifts/departments including third party assembly provider Key operations liaison with merchandising, inventory, warehouse, sales, and customer service Ensure compliance standards are met for all gifts assembly jobs Drive adherence to all applicable GMP, SQF, and AIB standards within the department and site Responsible for food safety and continuous improvement and quality within the location. Provide leadership and implementation for LEAN and continuous improvement standards. Strategically plan and implement Holiday production needs and staffing requirements Build and manage fiscal year budget for assembly and flower operations Key assembly leader for internal brand partner communication (i.e. Finance, HR, Merch, etc.) Drive partnership with planning team to create cost effective assembly calendar and timeline Lead the development and/or generation of new ideas, concepts, equipment and new technology to further improve the efficiency, process improvement and/or quality of all products shipped Hire, coach, retain, and develop world-class diverse talent for the site and across the organization Other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or business-related field along with 10+ years of Distribution/Logistics/Production Assembly experience Prior history managing up to 5 direct and 200+ indirect reports with peak season experience Strong proficiency in utilizing WMS/LMS programs, building labor standards & job cost estimates Experience with developing and driving key business performance indicators (KPIs) Strong tactical management experience including training programs & performance management Previous work building and maintaining brand and internal/external vendor relationships History of talent development and creating a culture of associate and business growth You must create an Indeed account before continuing to the company website to apply
