Job Duties The Program Manager will coordinate and facilitate engineering activities related to launches and ramp up of new business opportunities for the operation, especially automotive and complex programs. Take new business opportunities from concept to reliable & standard production flow while meeting customer required capabilities and profitability targets. Coordinate, oversee and be engaged from capability analysis, presale, process trial and process verification through all manufacturing/engineering areas (Cast, Extrusion, Fabrication & Packing). Work closely and be a Liaison between Quality, Commercial team, and key Customer contacts. Up to 75% domestic travel to Hydro facilities and client sites is required.
Salary Range:
$108,000-$123,000
Detailed Duties Include:
Responsible for the program launch from inception to a (3) month post launch period.
Work as a liaison between Hydro's Business Development personnel, Hydro manufacturing facilities, Product Development Engineers and the customers to clarify RFQ (request for quote) requirements, SOW (scope of work), timing and budget tracking.
Responsible for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) - complete program execution.
Capacity Planning / Asset and Plant selection.
PFMEA / Control Plan / PPAP.
WIS / SOP / Standard Work.
SCM (supply chain management) / CS (customer service).
pVelocity / Verible margin postmortem reviews.
Lessons Learned.
Responsible for a successful hand off post (3) months period to local plant team(s).
Conduct studies to determine the feasibility, costs, or performance benefits of new equipment.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Job Responsibilities:
The position of Program Manager - Automotive (Engineering) requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, in Engineering or a related field and five years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, 3 years of which must be with executing launch processes.
Additionally, the applicant must have:
Experience with GD&T, APQP and PFMEA.
Experience with control plan.
Experience with quality control.
Experience with supply chain planning and production scheduling.
