Whitworth University invites applications for a Program Director of our successful COAMFTE-accredited Marriage and Family Therapy master's program. The position is set to begin in July 2025. The successful candidate will bring their strengths to our welcoming community, contributing to the mission of the university and the Marriage and Family Therapy master program. This position provides oversight, leadership, and direction for the Marriage and Family (MFT) master’s program. The program director holds a full-time 11-month non-tenure track faculty position, teaches courses, and supervises practicum and internships. The starting salary for the selected candidate will be within the posted range and based on their experience.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responsible for MFT program development, recruitment, and oversight. Assess program for potential enhancements. Responsible for all aspects of curriculum development, maintenance, and improvements. Assist with providing ongoing supervision for MFT faculty, administrative staff, graduate assistants, and student workers. Serve on MFT admissions committee, counseling team, GSE Leadership Team, and other University committees as needed. Coordinate advising and course scheduling with GSE Advisor/Assistant Director. Oversee and manage MFT budget. Assist in ensuring that the MFT program complies with COAMFTE accreditation standards. Oversee the development and implementation of the MFT assessment plan. Assist with marketing of services, programs, and events. Attend state/national meetings related to the MFT program as needed. Teach graduate marriage and family therapy (MFT) courses and other courses in the graduate program as needed. Provide university clinical supervision of practicum and internship students in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. Active involvement and participation in appropriate professional and scholarly activities including research, state, regional and national organizations/professional associations, supervision, and clinical practice. Participate in university activities and governance (i.e., Attend faculty assemblies, professional development days, retreats, committees, etc.).
