Job Description

Allegiance Staffing is looking for Forklift Operators to join one of Jeffersonville's best employers. This role is critical in ensuring the safe operation of powered industrial trucks throughout the facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for transporting goods, storing products, and loading containers in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking candidates with at least six months of forklift operating experience who can demonstrate safe operating behaviors.

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator will safely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, walkie riders, clamp trucks, and pickers, to move products and materials throughout the warehouse. In this role, the Forklift Operator will load and unload goods, store materials, and complete all required documentation to maintain accurate records. Attention to safety is critical, as the Forklift Operator will be expected to perform daily safety checks and ensure all safety procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklifts, walkie riders, clamp trucks, and picker equipment to move products and materials.
As a Forklift Operator, load, unload, and store products and/or materials in designated areas.
The Forklift Operator will stack and transport materials to different locations within the warehouse.
Scan products, print labels, and ensure accurate documentation.
Complete paperwork and utilize inventory management systems to track product movement.
The Forklift Operator will ensure proper product rotation and follow all standard operating procedures.
Perform daily safety inspections of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
Keep the facility inspection-ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer audits.
Report any safety incidents or concerns to the supervisor.
Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
Other miscellaneous tasks as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Minimum of six months of experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic computer skills to operate inventory management systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely and efficiently.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Excellent attendance record required.

Compensation and Work Schedule:

Pay Rates:
- 1st Shift: $19.00 per hour + overtime
- 2nd Shift: $21.00 per hour + overtime
Location: Jeffersonville, IN
Attendance: Excellent attendance required.
