Summary: Reporting to the SVP, Support Services, the Director, Business Development - Support Services will lead business development activities specific to RES' Operations & Maintenance and Asset Management services throughout North America for wind, solar, and BESS projects. The primary responsibility is to identify and engage our clients to build a pipeline of O&M and AM business opportunities in North America. Responsibilities: Closes O&M and AM service contracts in North America for wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Creates proposals, quotes, and responds to formal RFPs working with legal and executive teams to negotiate contract terms and close transactions. Creates sales pipeline and campaigns. Researches and identifies new markets, growth areas, trends, opportunities, and customers. Identifies and vets potential opportunities and develops overall win strategy. Manages business relationships with existing clients. Works and coordinates with internal commercial, engineering, and support services teams to develop comprehensive project proposals. Stays current on asset management market conditions and trends. Represents RES at industry events to network and foster relationships. Coordinates with RES' other business development professionals in North America and globally. Contributes to several ongoing support services programs. Attends work regularly and punctually. Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures. Qualifications: Experience establishing, developing, and closing sales contracts. Previous B2B sales/business development experience; knowledge of CRM software. Experience identifying and securing project opportunities. Experience evaluating project risk and opportunity. Network of IPP and investor contacts; strong networking skills. Ability to discuss technical, financial, and compliance-related concepts with asset owners. Customer service motivated to assess specific needs and provide value-engineered solutions. High energy and positive attitude; ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to travel 20% to 40% as needed. Safety: Follows safety and security procedures. Presents and supports a safety-oriented attitude. Leads by example to ensure all employees follow safe practices. Accountable to reinforce safe behaviors. Adheres to standard operating procedures. Conducts timely performance reviews. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business development/diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of O&M and Asset Management experience required. Wind, Solar, and BESS experience required. Ability to travel domestically 16%-30%. Compensation: Anticipated base salary range: $138,000 - $160,000. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Bonus eligible.
