Monday - Friday 830am - 5pm

Job Description:

Forklift operator

General labor

Position: Warehouse Associate

Layout Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The use of the UPS Manifest System

• Able to be trained on/know functions pertaining to the barcode process

• Work involved in filling orders

• Breaking down large lots into smaller boxes

• The use of related warehouse tools and machinery

• General cleanliness of the warehouse

• Receiving parts on the computer

• Billing

• Put away future orders and pull them when ready to ship

• Making labels to put on packages to see they get to the correct customer

• Making packages to fit the goods distributed by HS

• Solve problems for missing parts

• Properly label all parts going to customer and stock

• All duties must be carried out in accordance with the QC Book and Procedures

• Resolution of safety issues with manager

• Train new employees as directed by Warehouse Manager

• Perform cycle counts/data entry of cycles

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Proven working experience as a warehouse worker

• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods

• Demonstrated organizational skills, including strong detail orientation and accuracy

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Ability to lift heavy objects

• Adhering to safety practices

• Demonstrated knowledge of building materials

• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment that interacts directly with customers

• Current forklift operator license/certification; Prior certifications in forklift driving/safety strongly preferred

• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and experience handling difficult people/situations

• Excels at operating in a fast paced, community environment with multifaceted demands
