Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain both recurring and ad hoc reports/dashboards in Tableau to track firm-wide investments.
Oversee ETL processes for the intake of portfolio investment data.
Collaborate with investment teams to gather business requirements and translate them into analyses that support investment decision-making.
Conduct due diligence and perform data analysis on potential new investments.
Provide support for ad hoc analyses and special projects to address specific business questions, offering actionable recommendations while adapting to changing business needs.
Develop optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce data reload times.
Monitor data quality, analytics, and metrics outcomes.
Automate ETL tasks to improve efficiency across firm operations.
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and business intelligence.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
3 to 10 years of experience in business intelligence/analytics.
Preferred technical expertise in:
Data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). ETL platforms (Alteryx, Airflow, Airtable). Programming languages (Python). Database knowledge (SQL or similar). Cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as a power user. Commitment to the company's workplace policies, including a hybrid work schedule requiring four days in the Chicago office (Monday - Thursday). Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Financial services experience is a plus (e.g., debt capital markets, asset-backed lending, securitization).
