TEKsystems is hiring: Application Security Engineer in Atlanta

The Application Security Engineer plays an integral role in developing and implementing application security tools and capabilities that help mitigate threats and vulnerabilities. The application security engineer will enable a secure SDLC by contributing to the development of the BDD security testing framework, writing new security test cases and helping drive adoption of the framework.

Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and build web and mobile BDD security testing frameworks
• Continue to build new security test cases on an ongoing basis
• Develop web applications, REST APIs in support of application security infrastructure
• Help in timely vulnerability remediation of security capabilities
• Improve security tools and processes with an emphasis on self-service, automation, performance, and scalability
Required Skills/Experience
• 2+ years of application development, testing, and implementation experience in an agile environment
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) practices
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Go getter attitude
Education
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.

Preferred Security Certifications

• CISSP, SANS GIAC or similar certifications
