We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer in Houston, Texas. This role is within the technology industry where the successful candidate will be expected to ensure the safety of our computer networks and systems. Your role will involve the implementation of security measures to protect the system from cyber threats, and the use of technologies such as Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, and Firewall Technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage Checkpoint and Cisco ASA technologies to enhance security measures.
• Stay updated with the latest Cyber Security trends and suggest improvements for our security systems.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the system is well protected and meet security standards.
• Use Cloud Technologies for the storage and protection of data.
• Develop and implement Firewall Technologies to prevent unauthorized access.
• Leverage Configuration Management to manage systems more efficiently.
• Conduct AB Testing to ensure the effectiveness of the security measures.
• Use AWS Technologies for secure and scalable cloud computing.
• Actively participate in the risk assessment and make necessary changes in the security plan.
• Regularly update the security measures as per the changing cyber environment.• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role in information security.
• Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.
• Proficiency in Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Technologies.
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and Firewall Technologies.
• Experience in AB Testing, Auditing, and AWS Technologies.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management and Cyber Security principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest cyber security threats and trends.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred but not mandatory.
