RSC is looking for qualified and Experienced Public Safety Officers and Nightlife Security/Compliance Officers to join our Power & Light - KC team.

Public Safety Officer - Must be able to obtain Security License

Duties:

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
• Monitor and operate CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to detect and prevent unauthorized activities
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical emergencies, fires, and security breaches
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent disturbances
• Provide assistance and support to visitors, employees, and residents as needed
• Conduct investigations into incidents or suspicious activities and document findings

Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong observation and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of security procedures and protocols
• Proficient in the use of CCTV systems and other security equipment
• Basic first aid knowledge is preferred

Nightlife Security

• Greeting patrons and checking IDs
• Monitoring the environment inside the venue
• Monitoring bar or club perimeter for concerns
• Assessing customers and reporting activity to Venue / Security Management
• Prior experience checking ID’s
• Conflict Resolution
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Prefer 1-2 yrs. experience in the security or related fields
• Prior experience in the Concert/Club/Bar industry
• CPR & First Aid Certification a plus
• Be able to obtain a KC Security Officers License

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure security
• Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms
• Respond to emergencies and security incidents
• Enforce property regulations and policies
• Provide excellent customer service
• Complete reports on incidents and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance and support to customers, employees, and clients as needed
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security or related fields is preferred
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies
• Strong conflict management, observation, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must have or be able to obtain the required KC, MO Security License
• Must be 18+ years of age
