Description

Security Guards wanted to work for a professional industry leading company. Applicants may be assigned to a single or multiple site assignment. Applicants will need to be flexible with their schedule willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed. Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and professional demeanor at all times. Must be professional, self-motivated, punctual and exercise good judgment. Applicants will be provided uniforms and must have all the documents and proper carry permits to work in their assigned location. Qualified applicants must have the ability to complete all necessary reports utilizing a computer and/or handwritten forms. All applicants must have at least five years of security experience, pass a criminal background check and drug screening, be eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a security license as required. Prior Law Enforcement or Military Combat MOS experience is preferred.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle

Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards

Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons

Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, trespassing or other violations

Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits

Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate requirements

Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities

Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must pass state requirements listed in state affiliation process
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Minimum to be eligible, former military or police experience, or 5 years of armed security experience to include nuclear reactor or government facilities armed security experience
  • No felony or domestic violence convictions or any criminal charges creating ineligibility to carry a fire arm
  • Meaningful and verifiable work history
  • Minimum of two to five years of verifiable and successful security experience
  • Ability to operate radio and electronical equipment
  • Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public and staff
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting.
