Job Title: Security Generalist III (Personnel Security Focus)
Reports To: Program Manager and Customer
Work Location: Ft Belvoir, VA
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI
Advantage SCI, LLC is accepting applications for Security Generalist III (Personnel Security Focus) to support a government agency with which we have a current contract. These individuals will support the Government's Personnel Reliability Program, support Physical Security Tasks and facilitate and support government personnel in monitoring the security enterprise.
Summary of Duties includes, but is not limited to:
• Perform a variety of security actions involved in supporting the Government's Security Program.
• Perform administrative processing and assessment of actions supporting the DoD Personnel Reliability Program.
• Record and monitor required changes in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System JPAS for status, incidents, and information effecting SAP and SCI access. Receive and forward reports
• Assist Government employees in the conduct of security inquires and the preparation of reporting to the Central Adjudication Facility (CAF).
• Review submissions for accuracy, completeness of the information, and cross-reference with existing security-related information
• Make recommendations of appropriate actions on individuals that have access to classified information that have been involved in an incident/offense which is considered derogatory in nature
• Assist the customer in the review of results of investigations and coordinate security requirements for individuals; assist in gathering, preparing, and managing data from agencies in support of investigations, operations, projects, and DOD and other Government agency requirements.
• Maintain office classified and sensitive holdings IAW internal unit procedures and DoD standards for marking and handling.
• Prepare courier authorization, conduct / record courier briefings and conduct/ I track and record foreign travel briefings
• Perform inspector duties as part of a Government lead inspection team for all types of facilities/operations defined in SCI, SAP, and collateral security references as needed.
• Assist Government in the execution of National Industrial Security Program Review requests for DD254, prepare draft DD254s, and staff IAW customer procedures.
• Process annual Special Access Program (SAP) and SCI self-reporting forms, and report unfavorable/derogatory information; monitor required changes in JPAS for status, incidents, and information effecting SAP and SCI access; receive and forward reports of violations, infractions and derogatory information.
• Prepare, receive, review, and process properly formatted requests for investigations, security access, and new hire screening packets; initiate quality control and verify the status of standard personnel security investigations/actions
• Support the entry/exit inspection of equipment from/to secure areas, security spot checks
• Assist in the establishment, implementation, and enforcement of internal SCI, SAP, and Collateral security policies and procedures.
• Process annual Special Access Program (SAP) and SCI self- reporting forms
• Develop or process requests for all types of facilities; maintain status tracking via Government classified "Baseline Security Tracker" work aid.
• Coordinate, schedule and record polygraph program activities, permanent/visit certifications of all clearance/access types.
• Conduct, process, and record security indoctrination, debriefings and NDAs.
• Maintain customer JPAS accounts for all levels of operation and assist customer in maintaining internal databases.
• Receive, review, and process requests for investigations and clearances using e-Qip; perform a preliminary check of available databases (credit, computer, and telephonic checks with various organizations) determine current clearance and access levels, current status of investigations, and the possibility of unfavorable information.
• Coordinate for and issue documentation related to signature reduction to support units/individuals and maintain strict accountability of documents; provide recommendations on issues that arise concerning the use of signature reduction mechanisms and services.
• Perform additional duties related to SCI and Special Access Program requirements; INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, and automation security programs; conduct in-processing, OPSEC, INFOSEC briefs, security practices briefings, security container maintenance /combination monitoring, and regular security refresher briefings.
• Other Duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
•Certification from ASIS as Security Professional and/or Certification from DSS under the Professional Education Development Program
• Minimum HS diploma
• Willing to take and pass CI Poly as needed
• TS security clearance eligible for SCI. NO EXCEPTIONS!
• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with MS Office Suite and JPAS (now DISS)
• Ability to learn and proficiently utilize databases highly desirable
o Level III: Minimum of 4 years' experience in government security
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Must have a valid certification of completion in PII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from Information Assurance Support Environment (Only valid within 30 days of hire). To obtain the certification, visit http://iase.disa.mil/eta/.

• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
