Job Description

We are seeking a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Specialist to join our team in support of the SOCSOUTH Personnel Security and Physical Security programs. This role is integral to managing and protecting the Department's Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) security standards.

As an SCI Security Specialist, you will:

• Perform security administration services in support of Special Security Officer (SSO) responsibilities.
• Assist in developing and implementing an Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
• Maintain access control records, files, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Verify personnel security clearances in systems such as JPAS, DISS, and FVS.
• Process initial and renewal security clearance requests.
• Provide courier authorizations, memorandums, and briefings for personnel transporting classified materials within the USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
• Support the adjudication process for security clearances in accordance with applicable DoD and ICD regulations.

Qualifications

• Required Clearance: Active TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years working with DoD or federal government agencies, with direct experience supporting security clearance adjudication processes.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with security management systems, including DISS, NBIS, FVS, SCATTERED CASTLES, and follow-on systems.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of DoD and ICD regulations governing security standards, practices, and policies.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information securely and efficiently.
