Security Guard Requirements:
· 18 years of age and older
· High School diploma or GED
· Active NV PILB (Private Investigative Licensing Board) Guard Card
· Must have excellent communication skills
· Professional presentation with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
· Authorized to work in the US
· Pass background check
· Schedule adherence and punctuality
· Must be able to climb stairs, stand, walk for long periods of time
· Ability to retain knowledge, information, and directions on an ongoing basis and communicate effectively with others.
· Ability to react appropriately in emergency situations & skills in operating portable radio devices.
· Must be able to work weekends and holidays
· Previous security, military, or law enforcement a plus
Swing Shift & Grave Shift coverage needed
Objective:
· Security officers are expected to be observant and provide a visible deterrence to crime and disruptions in a Major Shopping Center.
· Officers assists guests, enforce rules and regulations, and ensure access control.
Responsibilities (Include, but are not limited to the following):
· Enforce and comply with company policies, post orders and client instructions.
· Provide a visual deterrence by maintaining high visibility at all times.
· Conduct detailed observations of people and property within their area of responsibility.
· Enforce rules and regulations of the venue at all times.
· Conduct foot patrols or fulfill standing posts in their area of responsibility as directed.
· Verbally interact with other people within their area of responsibility.
· Contact their supervisor when a situation occurs outside of their training & knowledge.
· Contact law enforcement or emergency responders when appropriate.
Skills Required:
· Ability to stand and walk for several hours at a time.
· Superior interpersonal skills and be willing and able to speak confidently and professionally in English with people or groups of people while representing the company and the client.
· Ability to operate common communications equipment such as 2-way radios and cell phones.
· Exceptional written/oral communications, organizational and time management skills and be able to work alone or with groups of people for long periods of time both inside and outside.
· Provide a welcoming environment through strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest requests and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
· Perform security patrols of exterior and interior of property.
· Perform investigations and create incident reports
· Respond to accidents and emergencies, maintaining the safety of guests and employees
· Perform a variety of security tasks
