Unified Protective Services Inc. is now hiring for Unarmed Security Officers

Responsibilities:

· Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, accidents, and prevent fires.

· Conduct foot patrols

· Monitor activities.

· Wellness checks

· Access control

· Safety escorts

· Using provided communication devices.

· Represent UPS services.

· Properly wear the issued uniform

· Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services

· Provide friendly services to customers, employees and visitors.

· Other duties as described in Post Orders.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Must have an active guard card.

· A valid ID or driver's license

· CPR/First Aid/AED certificate

· HIPPA certification

· NARCA certification

· Motivational certification

· Able to work non-traditional hours including swing, graveyard, weekends and holidays.

· Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations.

· Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Education and experience:

· High School diploma or GED

· Minimum 1 year of guard experience preferred but not necessary.

· Knowledge of security protocols and equipment

Physical requirements:

· Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols.

· Able to stand 8-12 hours a day.

· Able to lift to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
