Implementation Support and Solution Evaluation:

Reviews the solution design to ensure it fulfills all requirements. Identifies opportunities to meet additional business needs within the scope of the project. Participates in the testing and monitoring of system or process changes and supports the implementation efforts by providing content knowledge as needed. Conducts traceability to ensure requirements are tested accurately and completely. Manages and coordinates requirements changes and ensures appropriate stakeholders are involved in all decisions about change. Leads user acceptance testing efforts to ensure implementation meets the needs of the business end users. Participates in the final implementation efforts to help ensure the business is prepared to embrace changes.

Requirements Elicitation and Deliverables:

Conducts requirements elicitation activities to understand and document the business needs, vision, requirements, and experiences of different stakeholders. Synthesizes, organizes, and analyzes the information gathered and produces business analysis deliverables that conform to HMSA standards. Reviews and validates requirements and their priority with the Business Owner and/or stakeholders. Ensures that all impacts, problems, and necessary actions are documented and understood by all parties.

Scope Definition and Project Coordination:

Identifies stakeholders needed for addressing the business problem/opportunity and leads the project team to deliver a solution that will fulfill the primary business objectives. Uses effective meeting facilitation, project management support, and business analysis skills, the Analyst:

Communicates and builds consensus around the primary business objectives. Defines and agrees upon a solution approach to help stakeholders understand their contribution to the project. Produces required/standard project documentation such as Business Requirements Document or business as usual (BAU) documents. May develop project milestones, negotiate project timeframes, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders updated on project status.

Business Problem Identification and Strategy Planning:

Identifies and analyzes business problems, opportunities, or trends through the collection and analysis of data. Applies a whole-company perspective to determine root causes of the problem from within and outside the department and identifies implications for other areas of the organization. Works with appropriate management and leadership to understand the primary business objectives. Applies a long-term view which takes into consideration multiple perspectives and future implications to facilitate strategic planning sessions and help identify potential business solutions. Provides recommendations on the best course of action.

Attend training as needed or assigned. Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
