AHS Vista LLC is hiring: Director of Security in Waukegan

The Security Director is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and management of the organization's security program and policies. This includes safeguarding employees, visitors, assets, and facilities from potential security threats. The Security Director will lead a team of security personnel, collaborate with other departments, and manage emergency response protocols to ensure a secure environment for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the organization's employees, visitors, assets, and facilities.
• Monitor and assess potential risks, identifying threats to the organization and recommending effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of security systems, such as surveillance cameras, alarm systems, access control, and other security technologies.
• Regularly review and update security protocols to align with evolving security trends, threats, and best practices.
• Lead and manage the security team, including security officers, guards, and other security staff, providing training, performance reviews, and career development support.
• Ensure all security staff are properly trained in emergency procedures, risk assessment, incident response, and conflict resolution.
• Liaise with senior management to address and resolve identified security concerns and risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in risk management, crisis management, and incident response.
• 5 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
