The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a security Specialist with the responsibility to protect the organization from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information considered vital to mission interests, national defense and national security by providing special access program (SAP) security functions in support of the organization. Participates in the administration and implementation of the Special Access, Industrial, Information, Personnel, Physical and Operations security programs as a member of the organization's SAP security management team. May perform as a Government Special Access Security Officer (GSSO) per AF and DOD established guidance. The Production Security and Cyber Operations Section provides security services to include PERSEC, PHYSEC, INDSEC, INFOSEC, OPSEC, and Anti-Terrorism (AT) programs. The section is also responsible for the cyber operation services to include Information Assurance, Software Assurance, Network Administration, Cloud Services, and general Information Technology (IT) support. Qualifications: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security clearance - This is a designated Drug Testing Position - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable) Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. In-depth knowledge of SAP security concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. 2. Extensive knowledge of AFMC's mission, functions, and structure to the unit level to ensure effective implementation and oversight of special programs security concepts, principles, and practices. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of all Information Security disciplines and governing policies, directives, instructions, and procedures. 4. Expert knowledge of General Supply Administration (GSA) specifications; state-of-the-art detection and surveillance systems, construction standards, automated data processing systems and other security concepts to integrate the requirements of all security disciplines into guidance for the implementation and management of the AFMC special programs information security program. 5. Expert knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct surveys/studies, accomplish projects, and effectively evaluate results for the effective management and completion of programs. 6. Able to effectively manage and organize various program activities and tasks, singularly and together, and familiar with administrative requirements of USAF and AFMC. 7. This position is a designated National Security Position. 8. Obtain and maintain Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) within 2 years of the initial assignment date to this position.
