A leading environmental consulting firm is seeking an experienced and motivated

Senior Environmental Engineer

to join their dynamic team. With a focus on environmental remediation, this role combines client management, technical leadership, and expertise in remediation engineering and design. Serving clients across various sectors, this position offers an exciting opportunity to lead high-impact projects while advancing sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Remediation Engineering:

Lead and develop remedial alternatives, conducting feasibility studies and preparing detailed option analyses. Design and specify remedial systems, from technical specifications to contractor selection, ensuring optimal site clean-up solutions. Project Management:

Oversee the implementation of environmental remediation systems, managing budgets, schedules, and resources. Provide leadership in the installation, operation, and maintenance of systems such as Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE), Air Sparging, Dual Phase Extraction (DPE), in-situ bioremediation, chemical oxidation, and groundwater treatment. Technical Leadership:

Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering technical expertise in site assessments, sampling activities, and the interpretation of environmental data. Ensure high-quality outputs through team collaboration and oversight. Client Relationship Management:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert consultation and addressing their needs through successful project execution. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations such as MTCA, RCRA, and CERCLA, while navigating complex environmental and regulatory requirements on projects. Technical Documentation:

Lead the preparation and review of technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates. Communicate complex technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders. Field Oversight:

Coordinate site assessments and field studies, overseeing soil, groundwater, and indoor air quality evaluations, as well as vapor intrusion and hydrogeological assessments. Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience:

8-15+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong emphasis on environmental remediation technologies and project management. Licensing:

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State (or similar credentials such as Geology (LG) or Hydrogeology (LHG)). Expertise:

Extensive knowledge of environmental remediation technologies, including SVE, DPE, bioremediation, chemical oxidation, and groundwater extraction. Hands-on experience addressing contamination from a variety of contaminants (e.g., petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated compounds, metals, PFAS, PCBs). Regulatory Knowledge:

Strong understanding of relevant environmental regulations such as MTCA, RCRA, and CERCLA. Software Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and experience with environmental data management software. Certifications:

OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification. Communication & Leadership:

Exceptional communication skills for preparing technical reports and proposals and explaining complex issues to clients. Proven leadership experience in managing teams and mentoring junior staff. Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive Salary Range:

$115,000 - $165,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Incentives & Bonuses:
