Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance cameras, and conducting regular security checks throughout the hotel premises.
- Greet and assist guests with professionalism, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience while adhering to established security procedures.
- Monitor access points, including entrances, exits, and parking areas, to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure the safety of guests and employees.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations such as medical incidents, accidents, fires, or other security-related incidents. Take appropriate action, including alerting emergency services and providing first aid if required.
- Handle and resolve conflicts or disturbances among guests or staff in a calm and professional manner, using tact and discretion to diffuse potentially volatile situations.
- Collaborate with hotel management and staff to implement and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities, documenting findings and preparing detailed reports for management and law enforcement agencies if necessary.
- Provide escorts to guests and employees upon request, ensuring their safety and well-being during their time on the premises.
- Act as a visible deterrent to potential criminal activity by maintaining a strong presence and professional appearance at all times.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security management or related field is a plus.
- Excellent observational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and effectively with guests, employees, and law enforcement personnel.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures and first aid/CPR certification.
- Familiarity with security equipment such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
