Stem IT is hiring: Cyber Security Engineer in Herndon

A Global Data Infrastructure conglomerate is looking to hire a Cyber Security Engineer in Herndon(Hybrid with 3 days a week on-site). This person will be working on a fast paced 5 person team, tasked with: designing network solutions, executing incident response procedures, conducting vulnerability assesments, administering security awarenes training for phishing attacks, and pefroming vendor and software due diligence to ensure compatibility as well as compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with tools such as: Azure Defender, CrowdStrike EDR, MimeCast, SIEM tools and ideally programming with Powershell and/or Python.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Background with Linux and/or Windows OS
• Experienced with OWASP vulernabilities and network security attacks
• Experienced impementing security controls in cloud enviornment
• Experienced with incident response procedures, preferable with: Azure Defender, CrowdStrike EDR and/or similiar tools to mitigate security threats
• Background with vulernability assesments, penetration testing to ehance system security and reduce risk exposure
• Knowledgable and experienced with: NIST, SOC, SOX and other common regulatory compliance standards
• Experience with IaaS tools is a plus
• Coding experience with Python, Powershell, and/or Bash is preferable
• CISSP, CEH, CCIE security and AWS certifications are a plus
