Job ID: 2674060 | Amazon.com Services LLC We are seeking a Senior User Experience Designer to lead experience charters of highly strategic products for data analytics tools at Amazon used by hundreds of users world-wide. This position involves owning the design direction for new and existing products and services spanning multiple user segments (from data producers to data consumers) and at a global scale. You will contribute to accelerate Amazon’s data-driven business and enable the next generation of analytics and machine learning technologies at scale. You will work collaboratively with other designers, product managers, developers, domain experts, users, executives, and more to lead the design of new product experiences from concept to development and market roll out. You will leverage your strengths as a communicator, problem framer, visionary, coach, and adaptability across design mediums and domains (digital, physical, service, international users) to raise the bar holistically for your program’s users. The ability to balance high-level, holistic reasoning with detail-oriented design is imperative. The ideal candidate will visualize an experience in the abstract, articulate complex use-cases, and drive the vision into design deliverables and artifacts. You think first from the customer’s perspective, use research and data to influence your decisions, set relentlessly high standards for yourself, and deliver bar raising shopping experiences. Our design team is an ever-growing, multidisciplinary group at Amazon responsible for the data platform. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar Knowledge of usability principles and techniques Experience with UX design of complex workflows Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
