Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated security professional to join the Risk Management team in this newly created role. The primary focus of the Security Program Manager is to develop and implement effective security strategies that minimize the likelihood and impact of adverse events across our portfolio of properties. The Security Program Manager will be responsible for conducting onsite security assessments, responding to crisis events, fostering a culture of safety and security, leading crisis management preparation, and serving as the primary liaison between our organization and law enforcement agencies. Collaboration is a crucial aspect of the role, as the Security Program Manager will work closely with various stakeholders within Morgan Properties.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who excels at fast-paced problem-solving, adapts seamlessly to changing circumstances, and demonstrates both independent and collaborative work capabilities. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, with a persuasive writing style and the ability to articulate ideas convincingly both in writing and verbally.
This position is based out of our corporate office in Conshohocken, PA and does require travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Develop and implement security and crisis plans, policies, and guidelines to address identified risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices. This role will also help develop training programs to educate employees on security and crisis preparedness.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements related to security, and make recommendations for improvements, as needed.
- Conduct onsite security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on physical security controls such as access control and camera systems, providing guidance and recommendations for the design, implementation, and maintenance of these systems across all properties.
- Directly manage the investigation of high severity security incidents, offering expert support throughout claim management and litigation, ensuring efficient resolution and mitigation of potential legal risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between the organization and law enforcement agencies, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Facilities, Legal, and IT, to address security-related concerns and implement appropriate solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of seven years experience in a security management or law enforcement environment with at least three years in the private sector. Experience in the multi-family or real estate industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate others to prioritize safety and security.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the capacity to make quick and sound decisions in crisis situations.
- Flexibility to travel last minute and without warning for crisis events as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
