CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Facility Security Officer to join our CHA Fire International Team at our Cullman, AL or Birmingham, AL office.

The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for implementing and maintaining the industrial security program of the possessing facility, including the management of closed storage, in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable government regulations. The FSO must possess an in-depth understanding of NISPOM and have substantial experience working with the Defense Security Service (DSS).
As the companys primary security representative, the FSO ensures compliance with all government security requirements. The FSO will provide expert guidance, advice, and support to the CHA Fire management team. The successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for all industrial security-related matters, ensuring that the company's security protocols are consistently upheld to the highest standards.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience is required
- Minimum of 3 years of Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) experience
- Completed DCSA FSO Curriculum - with certificate of completion
- Must possess all IS030.CU certifications for FSO in accordance with NISP
- COMSEC briefing by NSA preferred but not required
- Strong working knowledge of National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the ICD standards
- Knowledge in processing various Government Forms (e.g., DD Form 441, DD Form 254, 1172, SAAR, PSAAR).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with the following systems:
- Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
- National Industrial Security System (NISS)
- Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT)
- National Background Investigation Services (NBIS)
- FieldPrint
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive).
- Must be able to travel between Birmingham, AL, and Cullman, AL offices as needed.
