This individual will be responsible for leading the configuration of database vulnerability assessment tools and collaborate with Security Operations to conduct assessments. Develop mitigation plans for identified vulnerabilities and coordinate with application, security, compliance, and database administration teams to implement fixes. Review and update existing database standards based on current database security best practices and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support for scanning sensitive data on all in-scope databases. Act as the database SME during risk and compliance assessments, evaluating risks and audit findings, devising mitigation plans, and validating implementations as required.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years in Oracle database security and administration
Proficient with database security, including accounts and access management features
Identity and Access Management & Governance concepts and technologies such as Microfocus NetIQ (including IGA), Active Directory, Centrify, Entra, etc.
Operating systems, databases, and middleware components
Conducting compliance and risk assessments
Extensive experience analyzing a design and mitigating risks, able to reference something big picture and help with the overall strategy and direction
Prior experience with Linux
Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior experience with SQL Server
Hands-on experience with database vulnerability management tools such as Oracle DBSAT and Rapid7 InsightVM.
Prior experience with control frameworks and objectives (ex NIST CSF, NIST RMF, PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
Database Security and Administration certifications
