Schedule: Various shifts available:

• Monday-Thursday, 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Monday-Friday, 4:30 AM to 1 PM
• Friday-Sunday, 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Friday-Sunday, 7:15 AM to 7:45 PM (Emergency Department only)

Location: 1199 Prince Ave, Athens, GA 30606
Duration: 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $15.50 - $24.96 per hour
Interview Process: One-and-done onsite interview with Lab Managers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

One of the major healthcare organizations in Athens, GA is seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join their laboratory team. This individual will work in the inpatient hospital setting, in the Emergency Department (ED), or both as needed. They will serve all floors except the NICU nursery and will only work with pediatrics as needed or if they are in the ED. They will collaborate closely with physicians, responding to orders via Rover, and assist patients through venipunctures and obtain/prepare blood specimens.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of recent phlebotomy experience (Medical Assistants will not be considered at this time).
• Formal phlebotomy training program.
• Self-motivated and driven.
• Ability to collaborate across all units within the hospital.

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent agency.
• Experience with Epic.
• Experience using handheld ID for doctors’ orders (e.g., Rover for Epic).
