About Us
Actalent is hiring for a behavioral clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team.
Job Summary
As a Phlebotomist, you will collect and process blood samples from patients, provide exceptional patient care and support our medical staff.
Responsibilities
1.Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques
2.Verify patient identity and label samples accurately
3.Process and prepare samples for testing and analysis
4.Provide clear instructions and reassure anxious patients
5.Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
6.Collaborate with medical staff and laboratory personnel
7.Perform basic clerical tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping
8.Participate in quality control and assurance activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Completion of phlebotomy training program (CP, CPT or PBT)
- Certification (CPT, CP, PBT) or eligible
- 1+ year of experience in phlebotomy or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a hospital and lab environment, where you will be interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. You will be required to stand for long periods and assist in various capacities as needed.
