As a Communications Professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization’s desired reputation. We’re looking for an experienced Communications Specialist like you, who is ready to grow and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you’ll advance your consulting skills to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports workforce development projects.
As a Communications Specialist on our team, you’ll closely impact the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to develop industry outreach and marketing materials that connect Federal workforce development programs with employers and industry leaders with the objective to expand proven workforce development strategies across the Nation.
As a collaborator on all aspects of oral and written communications, you’ll author fact sheets, briefings, talking points, newsletters, website content, emails, social media content, and more. Your creative-thinking and business-oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound with tools like Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Suite, and more.

You Have:
Experience working in a dynamic environment characterized by shifting priorities and tight deadlines
Knowledge of best practices with communications, including plain language communication strategies
Ability to consult with clients to translate high-level ideas into communications collateral
Ability to produce examples of plain language writing
Public Trust
Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, or Marketing
Nice If You Have:
Experience developing talking points, speeches, fact sheets, and other marketing collateral to support marketing initiatives
Knowledge of workforce development programs, such as American Job Center, Registered Apprenticeship, or workforce development grants
Master's degree in Journalism or English
Copyediting or plain language writing Certifications
Vetting:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; Public Trust determination is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
