Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Fishkill, NY
Pay Rate: $21 - $25 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, no weekends required
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in Fishkill, NY. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring quality patient care by accurately collecting, labeling, and processing blood samples for diagnostic testing. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and has a steady hand for blood collection.
Phlebotomist Responsibilities:
- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures for blood specimen collection
- Ensure proper patient identification and labeling of samples
- Prepare samples for transport to laboratory and adhere to quality and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy equipment and work area
- Deliver excellent patient care, addressing any patient concerns with compassion and professionalism
- Certification in Phlebotomy (required)
- At least 1 year of previous experience working in a lab, hospital or medical office setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care
- Competitive pay range: $21 - $25 per hour
- Regular, consistent Monday to Friday schedule with no weekends
