Job Description
Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s San Clemente, CA medical facility. This is a Contract position with a possible extension opportunity, providing an excellent way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Location: San Clemente, CA
Schedule: 7:00-4:00 PM PST
Bilingual candidate will be a plus
Pay Range:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on years of experience)
Responsibilities:
Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and ensure proper decontamination.
Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
Explain the venipuncture (blood draw) or other specimen collection process (e.g., urine or fecal samples) in a clear and courteous manner.
Demonstrate phlebotomy techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperature.
Place samples in appropriate containers/tubes, ensuring accurate labeling and adherence to transport protocols to maintain specimen integrity.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
A minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
Spanish-speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply (but not mandatory).
